Campaign to Run Statewide as Coleman Pursues Historic Re-Election

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Safer Kentucky PAC today announced the launch of a paid media campaign highlighting Attorney General Russell Coleman’s record of delivering results for Kentucky families, law enforcement officers, crime victims, and communities during his first term in office.

The campaign features a series of digital and social media advertisements showcasing Coleman’s accomplishments in combating violent crime, securing opioid settlement funding, protecting children online, supporting law enforcement, fighting the fentanyl epidemic, defending Kentucky jobs and energy production, and leading innovative youth drug prevention efforts.

The campaign comes as Coleman seeks what would be a historic achievement in Kentucky politics. No Republican Attorney General has ever won re-election to serve two consecutive terms as Kentucky’s chief law enforcement officer. Safer Kentucky stands ready with the resources to make sure Kentucky primary and general election voters know Russell Coleman’s record of results.

“Attorney General Russell Coleman has spent his first term focused on results, not chasing headlines,” said Seth Wimer, Senior Advisor for Safer Kentucky PAC. “Whether it’s delivering lifesaving body armor to Kentucky law enforcement officers, securing record opioid recovery funding, cracking down on violent criminals, protecting children from online predators, or defending Kentucky jobs against radical policies coming from Washington, Russell Coleman has consistently put Kentucky families first.”

The campaign highlights several key accomplishments from Coleman’s first term, including:

  • Launching Kentucky’s $15 million Body Armor Grant Program, which has helped equip nearly 2,000 law enforcement officers across the Commonwealth with lifesaving protective equipment.
  • Securing a landmark $110 million opioid settlement with Kroger to support addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts throughout Kentucky.
  • Leading efforts to combat violent crime and dismantle drug trafficking organizations.
  • Closing dangerous loopholes that allowed traffickers to distribute deadly fentanyl analogues.
  • Holding Big Tech companies accountable and supporting stronger protections for children online.
  • Defending Kentucky’s energy sector and the jobs that depend on affordable, reliable energy production.
  • Launching Kentucky’s first statewide youth drug prevention campaign.

The advertisements also underscore the broad support Coleman has earned from leaders and organizations across Kentucky and beyond.

Senate Appropriations and Revenue Committee Chairman Chris McDaniel praised Coleman’s leadership on the Body Armor Grant Program, calling it “a significant step in providing our officers with the essential protection they need and deserve” and evidence of a commitment to “protecting those who protect and serve.”

The Kentucky League of Cities highlighted the success of Coleman’s body armor initiative, noting that the program has helped ensure hundreds of communities have better-equipped officers protecting local neighborhoods.

Community leaders involved in addiction recovery efforts have also praised Coleman’s work to secure additional opioid settlement funding and direct resources toward prevention, treatment, and recovery programs across the Commonwealth.

“Kentuckians deserve an Attorney General who delivers real results and makes public safety his top priority,” said Wimer. “This campaign reminds voters that Russell Coleman has built a record of accomplishment that has made Kentucky safer, stronger, and better prepared for the future.”

The paid media campaign will begin immediately and run across digital and social media platforms statewide.
